Plate of Beauty

A while ago I got asked about my beauty essentials.

I do not need much, basically it is just these life-savers that get me through a day (and night).
Unfortunately some of them are not available in Latin America, so I totally suggest stocking up in your travels.

Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream is an iconic "perfect for everything" balsam I learned to love from my dear Grandmother. Only thing we did not share with her was the liking of it's "interesting" smell ...ehm, fragrance.
Luckily somebody at Arden's got the message and made an odorless version of this classic.

The Body Shop's Vitamin C face spray is a must for every dry-skinned traveler. Also a proven fix-me-up for the mornings after naughty nights aka. hangover.

My three musketeers for hair are DermOrganic Hair Repair Masque with Moroccan Argan oil, Tangle Teezer a brush every girl should have - trust me on this one - and spray dry shampoo. I have no idea why dry shampoos are nowhere in sight in Mexico. Why? WHY?

There's so no leaving the house without a perfume. I've only trusted in three fragrances in my life (Trussardi Jeans, Carolina Herrera CH and Chloé) since I felt I had grown up from Polo Sport Woman in 1996. (Thank you Lord for that)

My latest make-up crush is L'oreal's Nude Magique BB-Cream in light 01.
It's a real bargain (like ten bucks or so) and winner of all (western world) BB cream tests! It's kinda like day cream with balancing toner pearls that melt into your skin when applied, making it picture-perfect.
Also loving the fact that it has a tone pale enough to fit my white as chalk-boat captain's face.

Last but not least, my best make-up buddies.
Bobbi Brown's eye liner gel in Sepia Ink is the best and most durable eye liner ever made. So easy to apply with a brush, that even I get beautiful lines that do not look like an electrocardiograph. For lips I have two loyal friends nowadays: Clinique's Chubby Stick in Oversized Orange and NARS lipstick in Schiap.
