Surprisingly, Mexico City is a lot more dog-friendly city than one would think! Parks, restaurants and cafes welcome you openly with your best four-legged buddy. You sit down in a bar for a vino and friendly waiter brings first water to your dog. Dream on that happening in Helsinki!

We love to go on Saturdays lunching (or brunching) in La Condesa with friends and their dogsies, and afterwards let the hairy ones go play in the park (not talking about my man here). This is what I wore the other day on one of these occasions; very old Missioni-vibed  one-shoulder dress, perfect for a sunny day (and very Inditex, yeah)

And if somebody there wonders my choice of shoes for a dog walk... well, I love them, so I wear them!

Flower Therapy

Today I took the dogster out early early in the morning. As almost every Monday and Friday the past years, we passed by Don Guillermo's small street corner booth to get fresh flowers.

I have a great confidence with Don Guillermo: He can totally read my mood (stressed? pissed off? happy?) and loads me with the most suitable combo of greens according to.

That is what I call Flower Therapy!

Style Sneak Peak: Rodrigo

Last Friday we were invited to a friend's house for a little get-together. 

As soon as we got in, it was difficult not to notice Rodrigo's magnificent leather boots.

He had gotten them few weeks ago from Taxco, a famous silver producing village about two hours from Mexico City, where they went with his girlfriend for a little getaway.

"Mainly to chill out and try local iguana dishes", as he explained me while taking his picture.

 I have no words to explain you how much I admire people who dress just as they like, giving s*it what everyone else and their mother says.

Damn rain season is about to begin.

This week raindrops have come every afternoon at 5:30pm, sharp. Luckily the weather keeps it's warm here, so one can still wear tops and heels. Probably I still have to dig out my wellies, though. Heels are so precious to me, that I won't ruin them walking Nelson the Dog in the rain...

Here you see what it looks like about 30 minutes before the sky opens. Waiting for the rain outfit today consist of semi-harem pants (they look a little more upscale with heels) and AA body-tops that I like to wear one on top of another.

Saamarin sadekausi hyökkäsi paikalle pari viikkoa etuajassa. Joka tsiisuksen iltapäivä taivas vetäytyy pilveen, ja siitä hetken päästä trooppinen sade kastelee alta aikayksikön. Lämpötila pystyttelee toki mukavissa päälle 20 C lukemissa, mutta  koiraa lenkittäessä on parasta allekirjoittaneenkin vaihtaa korot kumppareihin.

Last Friday my friend Ricardo invited us to celebrate his birthday ... Hell of a party it was, as it finally ended on Sunday morning at our terrace. There was several dinners, cocktail parties, early AM quesadillas and lounge lunches included, and I was happy as hippo wearing the blues.

Fashion police approved snake skin jacket and Russian model Olga R. lifted spirits after Wednesday shows. Olga's hometown buddy Andrej had probably the heaviest mullet I've seen outside Deep South trailer parks. Cool!!

I have padded myself on the shoulders several times for snapping this Diane von Furstenberg dress from Matches sale last time I was in Finland.

The print is perfect!
A little crazy not to look too señora, and the classic wrap-cut is ever so flattering. Laced Pucci heels were maybe a bit safe choice but they were first ones I got on my hands in a hurry...

Matchesin alesta napattu DVF:n kietaisukolttu on ollut yksi parhaimpia ostoksia. Tämä hullun siisti huulikuosi oli saanut multa vähän öögaa jo aikaisemin, mutta sitä ei tullut livenä koskaan täällä vastaan. Pitsisomistekorot saattoivat olla ehkä vähän liikaa, mutta puolustuksena todettakoon, että ne olivat ensimmäiset jotka pyörivät ovella vastaan kun hyökkäsin ulos.

I was so blinded by pretty Cristina's vintage necklace, that I totally forgot to ask her name for the pic.
Good thing we bumped into each others again!
I got her name right and spotted another fabulous accessory of her's that you'll see later.

What we did talk in the first place was that this piece actually consists of two old necklaces; one she inherited from her grandma and another one she found in a second hand store in the city center.

Muotikuvaaja JP:n rento look. Kuuleman mukaan muotiviikon ensimäisenä päivänä oli parilla fotarilla mennyt hermo kuumassa ja ahtaassa catwalkin etuboksissa kyykkiessä kun jonkun mimmifrendi oli "blokannut näkymän". Tästä oli saatu aikaiseksi kunnon käsirysy ja pari mustaa silmää. Selittänee siis JP:n maastokengät - niillähän voi kätevästi potkia uhoilevia kollegoja tieltä...
